Resonance In Chambers

The author who benefits you most is not the one who tells you something you did not know before, but the one who gives expression to the truth that has been dumbly struggling in you for utterance.

Oswald Chambers - My Utmost for His Highest, December 15th

This statement by O.C. has recently hit home for me as I partook of Mark Kielar's sermon on meekness, as found in youtube.

He made me see meekness clearly, realistically, and more importantly, biblically.

Underdog,

Welcome back and thanks for the comment.

OC had a lot of good things to say which resonated with me. For me it was like Chambers and, to a lesser extent, Andrew Murray were speaking right to my heart, echoing things I read in the Bible but had not grasped until that moment.

I was always taught that meekness, far from being wishy-washy, was actually power under control. In Jesus it was inifinite power under perfect control - demonstrating perfect meekness.

Blessings,

Tony
