My appreciation for Spurgeon grows every day. I'm going to start calling him "Mr. Balance" because he saw the "two sides of the coin" on so many issues. God blessed him with clarity and insight, a passionate heart for the Gospel, and an instructed tongue that continues to encourage us to this very day. Thank God for such men, and may we be to our generation what they were to theirs - if possible - by God's grace and in the sphere of influence where He places us.
