Maker of Heaven and Earth - by Roxylee
Colossians 1:15-17 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities––all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

The last song I posted from the wonderful Roxylee was a tough commentary on the state of the church in our culture. This is a change of pace in that it is a song of pure praise based on the above passage from Colossians. What gift she has!

Maker of Heaven an Earth

Praise to the Lord
Glory to God!
His Name is Holy forever
Sing to the Lord, Jesus our Lord
Maker of Heaven and Earth

On the Cross He took away all of our sin
He died, that we might live
When God looks at us
He sees Jesus, instead
He rose again that we may give…

Praise to the Lord
Glory to God!
His Name is Holy forever
Sing to the Lord, Jesus our Lord
Maker of Heaven and Earth

We walk with Him daily
He hears all our prayers
Our joy is complete as we follow
The Spirit will lead us through all of our trials
No matter what hardships we have, so…

Praise to the Lord
Glory to God!
His Name is Holy forever
Sing to the Lord, Jesus our Lord
Maker of Heaven and Earth

We will assemble and give thanks to him
He promised he’ll never forsake us
We will remember the great things He’s done,
Now let us all join in the chorus…

Praise to the Lord
Glory to God!
His Name is Holy forever
Sing to the Lord, Jesus our Lord
Maker of Heaven and Earth
Maker of Heaven and Earth

Eduard,

Thank you for comment. I got a lot feel for what you say from Roxylee's site, where I spent quite a bit of time listening and reading. It was not only her music, but also the grace and kindness displayed in her comments that got my attention.

You are blessed to count her a friend, and I certainly plan to give an outlet to Roxylee's Christian themed works on this blog whenever the opportunity arises.

Blessings,

Tony

Tony,

I enjoyed this, too! While our culture craves singers like Janet Jackson and Britney Spears, artists like Roxylee offer us REAL music with a REAL message for REAL people. Personally, I want and NEED real.

Thanks for giving us Roxylee!

Grace & peace,
Derek

Derek,

Yes - genuineness shines through in her art. Roxylee has a lot more stuff on her site. I know she would appreciate it if you visited and commented on this song directly. You musical arty types flourish on encouragement - unlike us stoic literary sterile theological types :-)

Blessings,

Tony
