The die is cast. The decision is made. The next series on this blog will be on the first three chapters of Romans. This should start some time in the first half of October. When all was said and done, there were three votes for Romans (excluding my own) and no votes for anything else.

As I said before, these chapters are heavy on the doctrine of the total depravity of man. Three months of postings largely about this topic will, at times, be hard going. But the Biblical concept of depravity and our universal and hopeless condition is precisely what makes, and keeps on making, the gospel "good news". Jesus didn't come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. And until people understand that they are helplessly sick - (and unless they keep being reminded of what they are without Christ )- they will never see their need of the Great Physician. Brace yourselves.
