Ad Hoc Dogma
Our theory of evolution has become...one which cannot be refuted by any possible observations. Every conceivable observation can be fitted in to it...No one can think of ways in which to test it. Ideas, either without basis or based on a few laboratory experiments carried out in extremely simplified systems, have attained currency far beyond their validity. They have become part of an evolutionary dogma accepted by most of us as part of our training.

Tony,

A few thoughts prompted by this post . . .

Compared with other major world religions, Evolutionism is fairly lacking in substance. It's the bottom of the barrel, so to speak - the religion chosen by those who have already rejected all the others and are left with nowhere else to turn. It is, in their view, the perfect, beautiful, unassailable savior. It miraculously reconciles their untenable philosophy and keeps it from collapsing under the awesome weight of the revelation which emanates day and night from the created universe. A sad savior, that.

Blessings,
Derek

I couldn't have said it better than you did.
