Amen, this is a good, balanced, and hopeful/helpful observation.
I view the cross as the ultimate SOLVED paradox. Without it, we would be hard pressed to reconcile God's holiness and His love (attributes which, to Him, are probably the same thing - but in our perspective seem to be at cross purposes).
Pun half-intended I suppose!
